Our focus

Women’s health

Biocodex acquired Laboratoires IPRAD in early 2020 to help improve health and well-being at every stage of women’s lives. We innovate constantly to bring effective solutions for feminine hygiene and comfort under our beloved brand Saforelle®. Our commitment to women includes quality products, expert advice and a responsible attitude to the environment and society at large.

Bringing expertise to women

Our women’s health experts work closely with gynecologists, general practitioners and midwives to develop products and solutions that fully meet women’s needs and help improve their everyday wellness. We have built up recognized expertise in the vaginal microbiota, which plays a central role in women’s health, well-being and comfort. In particular, we have developed our patented Lactobacillus crispatus strain that helps restore balance to the vaginal microbiota.

Our experts are attentive to the full range of women’s specific needs, including discomfort, itching, irritations, dysbiosis (yeast infection, vaginosis, etc.) and cystitis. Some of our products may be taken alongside drugs, sometimes long term, to limit side effects and help prevent recurring infections. Most of them belong to the Saforelle® range.

Supporting women all through their lives

With suitable solutions for everyday feminine hygiene or the periodic treatment of health issues, we support women at every stage of their lives:

  • Puberty
  • Sexual activity
  • Pregnancy
  • Nursing
  • Perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause

Our commitment to women

Quality products

All our products undergo rigorous testing supervised by doctors (gynecologists, dermatologists or pediatricians) to check good tolerance in use.
We select our ingredients to ensure our products are gentle on women and the environment, and choose European manufacturers that respect our quality requirements.

Corporate social responsibility

We back up our commitment to women’s health with concrete action to help our local communities. Here are some recent examples from France:

Extract page of a school book called "The Missing page" showing details and explanations of feminine intimate parts.

“The Missing page” (“La page manquante”)

In 2019, we launched a campaign encouraging French schools to provide more comprehensive information on the female anatomy. This involved distributing a printed insert for school science manuals and an original short film. The aim of “The Missing Page” is to help girls understand and take care of their bodies.

Charitable donations

We donate feminine hygiene products to charities and public services helping women in need (e.g., Règles Élémentaires, Secours Populaire and the Paris City Hall for the 10th district).
